Last Day Leeann Rhoades Exhibit In-Person
Leeann Rhoades' multi-media exhibit will be on display from Thursday, February 1st through Wednesday, February 28th during library hours. 9-5 Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, 9-8 Wed, 9-1 Sat.
Join us on Saturday, February 3rd from 10-11:30 a.m. for an Art Reception.
My art is a conversation between my soul and the wonderment of my experience. Anything I find intriguing and amazing can become fodder for my intuitive, mixed-media exploration. The studio is my playground bursting with many media and ephemera. The juxtaposition and layering makes unpredictable magic and frustration until the creation says, “you’ve got it.” The cold wax finish in many of the pieces gives me one final intimate opportunity to massage the work while reflecting on its meaning.
This show specifically poses questions regarding the climate crisis. My training as a climate ambassador with A Climate To Thrive, last fall, opened my eyes to the urgency of making life changes to address global warming NOW if we hope to continue to enjoy our amazing earth home as we know it. My heart aches wondering how we can reconnect with ourselves and restore our balance with nature.
