In celebration of Women’s History Month March 2024, the Southwest Harbor Public Library exhibits items inspired by the theme “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity”.
Mount Desert Island community members here and abroad show items and creations during the month of March, inspired by the National Women’s History Alliance 2023 theme. The exhibit showcases the ways in which women of all ages and walks of life celebrate the women storytellers in our lives and include a wide variety of pieces ranging from quilts, to oils, watercolor and acrylic paintings, rug hooking, knitting, fabric applique, textile, collage, mixed media, and more.
