Introduction to Google Drive and Docs (a three session class)

Two of the great benefits to your Google account are Google Drive and Google Docs. Google Drive is free cloud storage and Google Docs is Google's free alternative to MS Word. In this class you will learn how to store and manage your files online as well as use the Google Docs platform where you
can create stunning documents.

Requirements for this class: a device connected to the internet and an active Gmail account.

This classes is free but space is limited.

If you HAVE NOT taken a class with the National Digital Equity Center, you MUST complete a one-time enrollment BEFORE registering for a class.

These classes are being offered in the Clark Room where participants will view the NDEC instructor on Zoom with a local facilitator available in-person to assist the instructor and students. Bring your own device.

The National Digital Equity Center’s “Maine Digital Inclusion Initiative'' program was launched in 2018 and promotes and advocates for Digital Inclusion for Maine and its people. Included is the expansion of digital literacy services to traditionally underserved populations to provide job training/employment-related education as well as technology training to older adults. The program has engaged and trained digital literacy instructors to provide computer skills/digital literacy instruction to adult learners throughout Maine.

The National Digital Equity Center, a 501c3 non-profit, is a nationally recognized organization with a mission to close the digital divide across the United States. The National Digital Equity Center has been, and will continue to be, a thought leader on digital equity and digital inclusion.
