Ashley Bryan Family Storytime & Collage Craft In-Person
The Clark Point Gallery and the Southwest Harbor Public Library are partnering to offer a family program based on celebrated teacher, author, and artist Ashley Bryan on Friday, August 4, at 3:00 p.m. Registration required. The program will feature his work and original collages from his last illustrated book, Blooming Beneath the Sun: Poems by Christina Rossetti. Meet up at the Clark Point Gallery, 46 Clark Point Road - a 4 minute walk from the library - for a closer look at Ashley’s original collage artwork and for a reading of the book by Ms. Amanda. Afterwards, we’ll gather at the library to create collage masterpieces and find out more about Ashley’s life and art from poet and author Carl Little.
Each juvenile attendee will receive a free copy of Bryan’s book. Explore and learn about the works of Ashley Bryan (1923-2022) of Islesford Maine; beloved children’s book author and artist. For more information about Ashley, visit https://ashleybryancenter.org/index.html.
