Join us Wednesday (tomorrow) evening July 26th at 5:30 for a book discussion with Pamela Kallner about "Fire Keeper's Daughter" by Angline Boulley. The evening's conversation will delve further into topics of Girl Power & Gender Equity that began with Pamela's June program about how might we advocate to remove the barriers and biases that stand in the way of gender equity. Plan for a lively discussion of gender issues around girl power, education, the workplace, leadership, and more.

Pamela is a retired teacher and a 30-year member of the American Association of University Women. She spent 30 years in education teaching elementary gifted students, the last 20 years of her career in Bexley City Schools, a suburb of Columbus, OH.  While there she served as the Multicultural Education Coordinator. In that role she was responsible for professional development with teachers and administrators K-12 around many aspects of diversity and multicultural education, which included gender equity. Pamela’s teaching experience led to her passion for equity and inspires her to promote, advocate and take action regarding current equity issues. Pamela and her husband, Russ Kelm, split their time between Southwest Harbor and Columbus, OH.
