Special Family Storytime & Pop-up Bookshop In-Person
Join Island Readers and Writers at the Library on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10:00am for a special storytime! Weather permitting, we’ll enjoy storytime in the children’s garden. Author Maya Myers will read her new picture book Not Little and author Casey Robinson will read her new picture book Small Things Mended. These two perfectly paired stories are about the beauty of imperfect things and the power of friendship & community.
Books will be available for sale and to be signed by both authors under IRW’s orange pop-up tent on the lawn in front of Pemetic Elementary School from 10:30am–12:00pm!
About Maya
Maya Myers is a children’s book author and a freelance book editor, working with authors and publishers on all sorts of books for kids and adults. When she’s not wrangling words (her own or someone else’s), you can probably find her cooking, digging in the garden, or (surprise!) reading. Learn more about Maya HERE.
About Casey
Casey W. Robinson grew up in Maine and used to keep a shoebox of favorite words and phrases under her bed. She now lives with her family just west of Boston, in a yellow house overflowing with books. When she’s not writing, Casey manages book events for her local indie bookseller. Her debut picture book, Iver & Ellsworth, was a finalist for the Crystal Kite Award and Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Award. Her latest picture book, Small Things Mended, is a Kids’ Indie Next Pick.
