Pirate Trap Book Talk In-Person / Online
Dead men tell no tales. Thankfully, author Matt Cost does, and is alive and well! Join us on Tuesday, May 21st at 5:30 for a book talk with Matt Cost about his newest Maine mystery, Pirate Trap, about a modern-day treasure hunt for long lost buried treasure. Clay Wolfe, Baylee Baker, and the people of Port Essex, Maine become consumed by pirate and booty frenzy. Pirate Trap is the most recent in his Clay Wolfe/Porte Essex Mysteries series. This library program is in-person and online.
Matt Cost is the highly acclaimed, award-winning author of the Mainely Mystery series. The first book, Mainely Power, was selected as the Maine Humanities Council Read ME Fiction Book of 2020. This was followed by Mainely Fear, Mainely Money, Mainely Angst, and now Mainely Wicked. His Clay Wolfe/Port Essex Mysteries include Wolfe Trap, Mind Trap, Mouse Trap, and Cosmic Trap, with Pirate Trap, published in March of 2024, being the fifth in this series. For historical novels, Cost has published At Every Hazard: Joshua Chamberlain and the Civil War and its sequel, Love in a Time of Hate, as well as I am Cuba. In April of 2023, Cost combined his love of histories and mysteries into a historical PI mystery set in 1923 Brooklyn, Velma Gone Awry. City Gone Askew will follow in July of 2024. Cost now lives in Brunswick, Maine, with his wife, Harper. There are four grown children: Brittany, Pearson, Miranda, and Ryan. A chocolate Lab and a basset hound round out the mix. He now spends his days at the computer, writing.
