Don’t miss this opportunity to hear a first hand account of Bar Harbor resident, Diane Zito, a second grader at the time, at the Library. Online viewing available. Listen to the stories, not just the documented history, of this harrowing experience. Bring your own accounts to share!

In one recollection, Diane’s principal asked everyone in school to go home immediately. When Diane got home, her grandmother greeted her with, “Go upstairs and pack for a week.” They were headed to shelter with family in Ellsworth. What do you think a seven year old would pack? Come to the talk to find out!

The event is free but space is limited. Registration is required for this in-person and online program.
