Online Account Safety In-Person
Keeping Your Online Accounts Safe
Monday, December 2 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. In-person. This class walks you through the process of creating an online account. We also discuss how to recover your password should you forget it, what the potential issues are for privacy and safety, and how to best navigate those issues. Requirements for this class: A device connected to the internet. Limit 10 participants.
If you HAVE NOT taken a class with the National Digital Equity Center, you MUST complete a one-time enrollment BEFORE registering for a class.
After enrolling, register for the class here. Completing enrollment DOES NOT register you for the class.
Class details: These classes are offered in the Clark Room where participants will view the NDEC instructor on Zoom with a local facilitator available in-person to assist the instructor and students. Bring your own device.

The National Digital Equity Center’s “Maine Digital Inclusion Initiative'' program to promote and advocate for Digital Inclusion for Maine and its people. Included is the expansion of digital literacy services to traditionally underserved populations to provide job training/employment-related education as well as technology training to older adults. The program has engaged and trained digital literacy instructors to provide computer skills/digital literacy instruction to adult learners throughout Maine.
