Food Insecurity MDI History In-Person / Online
"Food Insecurity the Charitable Food System on MDI" with Tom Reeve
Join Tom Reeve, Executive Director of the Bar Harbor Food Pantry, on September 16th from 5:30-6:30 p.m., as he broadly explores the origins of the charitable food system on a national level and in more detail locally. His presentation will include the different ways each local organization helps out community members suffering from food insecurity, why the need for food pantries continues to grow, and his philosophy on what makes a community.
Tom Reeve has been the Executive Director of the Bar Harbor Food Pantry since February 2022. Prior to holding this position, he was a sourdough bread baker, fundraiser, director of small nonprofits, and an ecologist. At the time of writing this, he lives in Trenton but might have moved due to the yearly MDI housing shuffle.
