Last Day John DelMastro Exhibit

Last Day John DelMastro Exhibit In-Person

Visit the Library between May 2nd and May 30th to explore the stunning photo-realistic drawings and book illustrations of John DelMastro. Working with Prismacolor pencils, John brings his subjects to life—in the shimmer of a hummingbird’s feather, or framing a unique view of Acadia National Park in A Quarter Mile from Junction 14.

Describing his May exhibit, John says, “The exhibit presents different aspects of my creative endeavors. In the first one, I use colored pencils to create photo realistic renditions of my subjects; the works are intended to stand with paintings despite their unique medium. The second part is a series of illustrations for my upcoming novel, rendered in graphite. These works, along with a full-color book cover, help me present the imaginative quality of this futuristic story.”

John graduated from Plymouth University with a dual major in Graphic and Fine Arts. His works were featured in The Encyclopedia of Coloured Pencil Techniques, on the cover of CP magazine and in Art of Acadia. He currently works for Acadia National Park and as the head of production for Middle Earth Mushrooms.
