Have you ever wondered what’s behind the making of a portrait and how it came to be? Hear from Judy Taylor on Tuesday, August 26th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in her lecture “The Story Behind The Portrait.” In this lecture, Judy will tell the story behind some of the great portraits in art history and what they tell us about the subject and how by studying them it has informed her own work. She will also discuss some of her recent portrait commissions and how she structures the painting, the process of commissioning a portrait and the interesting people behind the curtain.
