"The Promise of the Grand Canyon" Program with John Ross

"The Promise of the Grand Canyon" Program with John Ross In-Person / Online

John Ross will be at the library on Tuesday, July 26 at 5:30 for a hybrid event that will be in-person and online. John Ross' latest book, The Promise of the Grand Canyon: John Wesley Powell's Perilous Journey and His Vision for the American West, is about visionary and explorer John Wesley Powell who retired to Brooklin, Maine, where he died in 1902. Powell helped build the Friend Memorial Public Library in Brooklin in 1912 with funds he donated from his lectures.

Registration is required to attend both in-person, masked, and to receive an online link.

Each in-person attendee must complete a registration. We will have a waitlist so register just in case a space becomes available.

For assistance with registering, email programs@swhplibrary.org or call us at 207-244-7065.
