First Day Liz Cutler Exhibit "Opting To See Joy"

First Day Liz Cutler Exhibit "Opting To See Joy" In-Person

Artist and cold-water dipper, Liz Cutler transforms creative and physical challenges into wonder and joy. Drop in to see her exhibit “Opting To See Joy” during the month of April at the Southwest Harbor Public Library. Join us on Friday, April 12th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. for an Artist Reception and Birthday Party with merriment and refreshments. Hats are welcome.

Liz lives on Mount Desert Island, alongside Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. Inspired by the natural beauty of the area, where there is always something beckoning her to linger, her paintings allow her to share and return to some spectacular places. Her go-to medium is oil paint, it is fairly forgiving and allows variations in technique. At times, she also explores similar motifs in fiber, glass or through printmaking.

“I find moving an image through a variety of media informs my painting practice, which keeps me exploring and re-presenting my spaces, both inner and physical.”
